Mark Mole

I am a predominantly self taught chef, with an incredible passion and desire to create fresh home cooked food.

Executed in a fine dining restaurant style, I pride myself on using the best ingredients to hand, which are simply prepared, cooked well, and not overworked, with clean identifiable flavours and textures at the forefront of everything I do.

I discovered the passion for food in my early 20’s whilst sharing a house with my best friend Jim, who was completing a professional cookery NVQ at the time and it has only grown from there.

From years of home cooking, practise and endless  research, to appearing on the 2018 BBC series of Master Chef. I was fortunate enough to reach the televised second round, including cooking for previous Master Chef Contestants .

This provided me with a opportunity to work a trial shift at a local Michelin Star Restaurant.  I was then offered a position as a Chef De Partie. Unfortunately due to family commitments I had to decline this position.

A few years later I accepted a Sous Chef position in a prestigious local tapas restaurant, earning some well needed stripes and learning all aspects of a professionally run kitchen.

After culminating many skills and much knowledge, I am now in a position to drive @molesmeals_at_home forward, delivering guests a fine dining experience in the comfort of their home.

Jim Bayford

Supporting me in my business venture is my long term best friend Jim Bayford.

 

He currently holds a hospitality management position for a global facilities service provider and has held every position in a professional kitchen from porter to exec chef.

 

Jim is a qualified chef and has relevant hospitality management and supervision qualifications including a level three intermediate food safety.

 

Jim assists with the overseeing of my operation.  And shares the same drive and passion for great food, as I do.
